About me

I was raised in Aomori, Japan by Senegalese and Japanese parents. In 2022, I founded belle journée. I started with waist beads, swimsuits, and bracelets, but managing my business with other work proved challenging. In 2023, I moved to Vancouver and restarted my business in 2024 with a renewed focus.

Each product I create is handmade by me with love and intention. I'm now incorporating fabrics from my father’s homeland, Senegal, and using traditional Japanese kimonos and obis to create unique bags and accessories.
